The purpose of the department is to train bachelors and masters in the field of psychology and educational psychology and direct them to work in various spheres of society. And also, organizing and conducting various lectures and seminars to increase the psychological awareness of the population.

The department trains bachelors in the specialties 60310900-Psychology,  60110100-Pedagogy and Psychology. Graduates can work in manufacturing plants; educational institutions; Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Family"; medical institutions; centers of psychological assistance. Republican Test Center for Pedagogical Psychological Diagnostics; Law enforcement agencies; military units; work as psychologists in rehabilitation centers, schools, preschool institutions.
