The Department of "Methods of Primary Education" is a community of dedicated people who are training professionals to educate the children of our people. The department was first established in 1958 as part of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics. During the past period, the department of "Methods of Primary Education" has masters of their profession, such as Bikajon Rakhmonova, Malik Matyakubov, Sharif Nurmetov, Matchanboy Tohirov, Sultanposhsha Masharipova, Farhod Rajabov, Jumanazar Yarmetov, Bahrom Abdullayev. led by passionate people. From 2009 to 2015, the department was headed by Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor S. Ollaberganova. During the years under the leadership of S. Ollaberganova, the ways to increase the effectiveness of primary education, its organization on the basis of modern technologies have been laid in the education system.
In 2015, the department was renamed "Methods of Primary and Preschool Education." Unga f.-m.f.n., dots. O. Allaberganov was the director.
In 2016-2019, the head of the department was b.f.n., dots.X. Bekchanov worked.
In August 2019, the department was divided into two: the Department of "Methods of Primary Education" and the Department of "Methods of Preschool Education."
From August 2019 to the present, the department of "Methods of Primary Education" is headed by Ph.D., Associate Professor S. Ollaberganova.

At present, the department has full-time and part-time bachelors in B5111700 - "Primary education and sports" and "Primary education", as well as 5A111701 - "Education" and prepares masters in the theory and methodology of educational work (primary education). The number of teachers at the department is 32, including 6 candidates of sciences, including 1 professor, 3 associate professors, 3 senior teachers. , 8 of them are teachers. In the last 3 years, 8 professors and teachers have been trained.
