On May 31, 2021, the head of the practical project “Research of ancient written unique manuscripts and sources, creation of their digitized library” coded A-FA-2019-9, Ph.D. A. Urazbaev identified 17 manuscripts and one lithographic book kept in the hands of the population of the region, brought them to the academy, and handed them over to the digitization database. Maksuda Jammatova, a teacher of the Academic Lyceum under Urgench State University, who completed her Ph.D. in philosophy in the specialty of Uzbek literature, had great services in identifying these unique findings and obtaining permission to create an electronic copy of the books by the owners. At the request of the grant director, the administration of the Academy provided M. Jammatova with a certificate on the use of her scientific work in the research process and her services in attracting 17 unique sources to the grant database.
In the future, the grant researchers will publish a detailed description of these books in “the Population Fund Catalog”. It should be noted that most of these books are unique unpublished Khorezm folk epics. Among them is the Huvaydo devon, a unique manuscript of “the Qissai Mashrab”.
