On February 21, 2022, the Philology Faculty hosted the first round of the contest "Young Orators", which is held with the participation of active and enthusiastic students who are able to form the culture of public speaking. A total of 9 students from the faculties of Philology, Natural Sciences, History and Pedagogy competed in the contest.
S.Davletov, Vice-Rector for Youth Issues and Spiritual and Educational Affairs of UrSU, opened the contest with an introductory speech and wished good luck to all participants.
A group of enthusiastic and talented students of the university demonstrated their skills in this contest aimed to teach university students to speak fluently and correctly in their native language, Uzbek, to further strengthen their desire to master the culture of public speaking, to study and promote the work of artists, oratory in their works, the acquisition of knowledge about the culture of speech, to further strengthen the attention and respect for the state language.
In the first task, each participant describes all the information about himself in a verse or prose way, and gives short and clear answers to the questions hidden under the numbers, while in the second task they demonstrated public speaking skills on any topics that further enhanced speaking skills and encouraged thinking.
✔️Each task was evaluated by the jury. According to the results:
1st place: Sadullayeva Sevara - Student of the 206th group of the Uzbek language department of the Philology Faculty
1st place: Yusupova Mohira - Student of the 193rd group of the Pedagogy Faculty
2nd place: Matkarimova Saida - Student of the 209th group of the Primary Education department of the Pedagogy Faculty
3rd place: Mohichehra Rustamova - Student of the 203rd group of the Uzbek language department of the Philology Faculty
The winners of these places and students who actively participated in the contest were awarded diplomas and gifts by the Dean of the Philology Faculty, Ph.D. D. Gayipov.
