On March 14, 2022, a memorial event and a scientific-theoretical conference dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Safarboy Ruzimbayev, an all-round scientist who made an effective contribution to the study of the traditions of epic of Khorezm epics, Professor of the Department of Uzbek Language and Literature, Urgench State University, Excellence in Public Education of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Philology, Professor, were held.
The event was attended by professors and students of the Philology Faculty, family members, friends and students of the teacher.
Zafarbek Ibragimov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of UrSU, opened the evening with an introductory speech and spoke about the productive scientific heritage of the teacher.
R.Khudayberganov, Adviser to the Khorezm Region Governor on State Language, Ph.D.,professor Z.Do'simov, Professor H.Bobojonov, Ph.D., Professor J.Eshonkulov, Ph.D., Professor Sh.Turdimov, Ph.D., Professor K.Allamberganov, Ph.D., Professor A.Alniyozov, Ph.D., Professor J.Khoshniyozov spoke on the effective and productive, creative activity of the teacher, his monographs, manuals and popular science books, topical issues of folk art. They also pointed out noting that about 300 scientific articles are devoted to the in-depth study of various genres of Khorezmian folklore, the scholar's scientific heritage is of great importance for in-depth analysis of the roots of current issues in the field, the study and enrichment of youth knowledge.
Speakers recalled the teacher's good deeds, good works and memorable events.
During the memorial event, videos about the life, work and activities of Safarboy Ruzimbayev were performed.
