Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran visited Urganch State University

Yesterday, on October 14, Hamid Nairabadi Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to our country visited Urganch State University as part of his visit to the Khorezm region. A group of officials under the leadership of UrSU Rector B.Abdullayev warmly welcomed the distinguished guest.

During the dialogue, the ancient friendship and fraternal ties between Iran and Uzbekistan were emphasized, especially the common cultural, spiritual and ancient traditions connecting Khorezm and Iran, as well as the Persian heritage of our great ancestors like Pahlavon Mahmud.

Rector of UrSU, B.Abdullayev, while introducing the current activities of Urganch State University and international cooperation relations, expressed his desire to establish cooperation with Iranian higher education institutions and mentioned a number of his proposals.

Mr. Hamid Nairabadi to open a Persian language department at Urganch State University, to develop the teaching of this language to students and young people, to attract teachers from Iranian higher education institutions, to establish the exchange of students and professors, etc. supported the suggestions made on establishing cooperation in the scientific field and expressed his support in this regard.

At the end of the meeting, the parties presented to each other souvenir books of a socio-political nature, reflecting the identity of the two peoples, national values ​​and traditions.
