On March 6 of this year, Kevin McCaughoy, the head of the Regional English Department of the US Embassy in Tashkent, and his assistant, Umida Boltayeva, the responsible employee of the embassy, visited Urganch State University as part of their visit to higher education institutions in our republic. The guests were warmly welcomed by the university management.
After that, a meeting was held with the participation of guests Kevin McCaughoy, Umida Boltayeva and UrSU administration led by rector Bakhrom Abdullayev, university coordinator of the "Access Microscholarship program" project F.Masharipova.
During the official talks, Rector B. Abdullayev noted that today there are active cooperative relations with the US Embassy and expressed that the university team is interested in further expanding these relations. So far, he has introduced American higher education institutions to the work being carried out in the educational and scientific sphere. In particular, he noted with great pleasure the international mathematics conferences with the participation of US mathematicians, international summer schools, US scientists coming to our university and conducting lectures.
In his place, Kevin McCaughoy expressed gratitude for this friendly relationship and expressed his support for future cooperation and initiatives.
