The first session of the new academic year began with the "Lesson of Independence" at Urgench State University. The governor of the region Jorabek Rakhimov took part in it and told the students about the difficulties in achieving independence and strengthening it, the socio-economic development of our country, and its reputation in the international community. He also spoke about the opportunities created for youngsters and reforms in the higher education system.
It should be noted that more than 30,000 students are studying at this university in 66 full-time, 27 part-time, 1 distance education course, 42 master's majors. This year, based on the need for personnel, 6 new fields of study and 5 master's degrees were opened. On the eve of the new academic year, a new sports complex with 6 playgrounds for 5 sports was commissioned at the university. Also, an information resource center and a student dormitory are being built based on a modern project.
