Today, a group of Azerbaijani guests, led by Aydin Kerimov, the head of the Shusha delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, visited Urgench State University as part of a visit to Khorezm region. The members of the delegation were warmly welcomed by UrSU Rector Bakhrom Abdullayev and the university administration.
First, the guests were introduced to the "Azerbaijan-Uzbek friendship center named after Yusif Vazir Chamanzaminli", which was established in 2023 at the Faculty of Philology and Art in honor of the Azerbaijani poet, writer, playwright, and public figure.
The dean of the Faculty of Philology and Art, D.Gayipov, informed the guests about the establishment of the center, the cooperation with Azerbaijan's higher educational institutions in the field of language and literature, and the future plans of cooperation.
It should be noted that in this center, which was established on the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Azerbaijani Cultural Center in Uzbekistan, the national and spiritual values, history, literature, culture and art of Azerbaijan, which are important for further expansion of friendship and cooperation between our peoples and countries, There are books reflecting his name, portraits of great poets and writers, electronic literature, together with literature and photographs reflecting the life and literature of Yusuf Chamanzaminli. All this attracted the attention of the guests and they were very pleased with the interest of Urgench State University in the culture, art and literature of Azerbaijan.
