An intensive training on the topic "Principles of Continuous Professional Development for English Language Teachers," organized by the British Council, was held at the University of World Languages of Uzbekistan from January 9 to 11, 2025 (Accelerating English Language Learning in Central Asia). The training was attended by the head of the Department of "English Language and Literature" of Urgench State University, R. Abidova and the department's teachers, F. Masharipova and U. Akhmedova. The training was aimed at improving the qualifications of English language teachers and 160 teachers had the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge and skills within the framework of the project. As part of the program, foreign specialists Tom Kiddle, Emma-Jane Robinson, Lisa Mann, Jamila Gulyamova, and Saida Irgasheva shared their skills and experience with the participants. This project is an important step aimed at further improving and adapting the English language teacher training system in Uzbekistan to international standards.
