Common Roots and Cultural Traces – Strengthening Friendship and Cooperation Through Art

On October 13, at the Faculty of Philology and Arts of Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni, within the framework of creative cooperation with the Faculty of Fine Arts of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (Turkey), the opening ceremony of the international exhibition titled “Common Roots and Cultural Traces” was held.

The exhibition once again showcased the historical, spiritual, and cultural unity between the two peoples through art. The main goal of the event is to enhance pedagogical skills, enrich theoretical knowledge, discover new talents, and develop the scientific and practical potential of students and teachers.

At the opening ceremony, acting rector of UrSU S.Khodjaniyazov, Dean of the Faculty of Philology and Arts D.G’ayipov, and Professor Minara Guliyeva from Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University spoke, emphasizing the need to further strengthen scientific and cultural ties between the two universities. They expressed support for the regular organization of joint projects, symposiums, and exhibitions in the field of art.

The exhibition featured paintings and sculptures created by professors from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University and the Art Department of UrSU. Each work reflected a national spirit, aesthetic taste, and harmony of folk values, leaving a deep impression on the audience.

During the event, a collection of national costumes created by the Art Department’s teachers was also presented. This exhibition became not only a platform for creative achievements but also a cultural bridge that brings peoples closer through art.

We remind you that the exhibition “Common Roots and Cultural Traces” will be open until October 24 at the 1st floor of the UrSU Information and Resource Center.

Art is the most beautiful language that unites peoples.
