On December 22, 2013, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Otanazar Madrahimov, a great scientist, doctor of philological sciences, professor, participant of the Second World War, labor veteran, author of many scientific articles and pamphlets, initiator, who made a high name and still lives in the hearts of his students, a scientific-theoretical conference and a memorial evening were held.
The event was organized by the Philology Faculty and was attended by representatives of the Khorezm regional administration, members of the Writers' Union, faculties of Urgench State University, family members of the scientist, colleagues, students and university students.
Opening the scientific-theoretical conference, the rector of UrSU B.Abdullayev spoke about Otanazar Madrahimov, his exemplary life and achievements during his 15 years of rectorship.
At the scientific-theoretical conference, the exemplary work of the scientist in the field of science and on youth education was discussed and participants made speeches. In particular, R.Khudayberganov, Adviser to the Khorezm Region Governor on State Language - “Ulugʻ xorazmiylarga munosib avlod”, Ph.D., Professor H.Abdullayev - “Bag‘rikeng rahbar, dilkash inson”, Professor H.Bobojonov - “Oliy ta’lim fidoyisi”, Ph.D., professor Z.Do'simov- “Hamkasblarga ham do‘st, ham ustoz” S.Avaz, a member of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan- “So‘z sehrini his qilgan inson”, Z.Madrahimov, the son of Atanazar Madrahimov - “Otam bilan umrbod faxrlanaman”.
A video dedicated to the scientist's life was shown on the memorial event. Art performances were performed by students.
