History of the English Language and Literature Department
The Department Uzbek Language and Literature is established on 1935. There are more than 19 professor-teachers in the department(Doctors of science, professors - 3 (16%), candidates of science, associate professors - 8 (42%), PhD, senior teachers - 1 (5%), PhD, assistants - 2 (10% ), assistants - 5 (26%). Scientific potential of the department -74%. 560 students are currently studying. There are in Uzabek Language and Literature, 1 specializations: Philology and Language Teaching: uzbek Language and 1 Specialization (Literary studies: Uzbek literary) bachelors and masters are being prepared. A lot of things has been done on international cooperation and scientific contacts with foreign countries such as: scientific and pedagogical cooperation with the, Karabuk University of Turkey, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), Azarbaijan Cultural Center, Tashkent State University of uzbek language and literature, Institute of the Uzbek Language, Literature and Folklore of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and other organizations. Professors and lecturers of the department have improved their skills in ead Scientific and Methodological Center for Professional Development of Academic and Executive Staff in Higher Education. Over the last 10 years more than 500 scientific and methodical articles have been published by the faculty of the faculty in foreign, republican and higher educational institutions, more than 20 educational and methodical manuals. Professors and teachers of the department took part in the International conference, the parliamentary elections on December 21, 2014. As a result of the effective work of the teachers of the faculty, the students have gained some successes and continue to gain the achievements. Dilshod G‘ayipov, Is’haqjon Ismailov, Nasiba Sabirova, Hikmat Yusupov, Akbar Otaboyev’s research and accomplishments are estimated by the state and were awarded with the state Prezident of Uzbekistan. Nazokat Bobojonova(2008), Rayhon Ro‘zmetova(2010), Shahnoza Aqmanova(2011), Yodgor Xudayberganov(2021)’s research and accomplishments are estimated by the state and were awarded with the state order named after Navoi. It is especially pleasant to note that the literary works, are highly appreciated by the Uzbek Writers Association. In 2021-2022 it is planned to open a new direction – Uzbek language and literatury at the Philological Faculty. The opening of this new trend will further enhance the reputation of the faculty at a national level.
