The Department of Mathematical analysis was founded as the department of "Theory of Functions" in 1992 by academician A.S. Sadullaev. The chair was headed in 1992-1996 by A.S. Sadullaev, in 1996-1998 by Associate Professor S. A. Imomkulov, in 1998-1999 byрrofessor R. Z. Abdullaev, in 2000-2007 by associate professor R.M. Madrahimov, in 2007 -2009, рrofessor A.S. Imomkulov, in 2009-2014 the associate professor R.M. Madrakhimov, in 2014-2015, the associate professor Zh.U. Khuzhamov, in 2015-2016, the associate professor M.D. Vaisova, 2017-2018, the associate professor Y.R.Saidov. 2018-2020,associate professor A.A.Atamuratov. 2020 the Since September 16, 2020 the department is headed by PhD. R.A. Sharipov
At present, 1 academician, 1 professor, 7 candidates of sciences and associate professors, 4 senior lecturers and 7 teachers conduct activity at the department. The department is always in a good collaboration with highly ranked universities in the world in order to improve qualification of teachers and professors.
The members of the department have published a lot of books and manuals such as “Higher mathematics 1, 2”, “Collection of exercises and problems on mathematical analysis 1, 2”, “Holomorphic functions of several variable”, “Borel measures, integrals and potentials”, “Holomorphic functions of matrix variable”, “Theory of pluripotential and its applications.”
Under the supervision of the department, there are master’s program on the specialty “Mathematical analysis” and institute of research for master and PhD students. Two of doctors of science, 7 master students are doing their scientific research in this field. On March 24, 2016, PhD B. I. Abdullayev presented and defended his doctoral thesis on the theme “Potential theory on m-subharmonic functions”, on March 30, 2018, Z. Sh. Ibragimov presented and defended his PhD thesis on the theme “Pluripolarity of graphs of quasi-analytic functions”. In order to develop the scientific potential and training young staff of department, regular scientific research is being conducted with the involvement of talented master students and scientific researchers. In consequence, students of the department became winners of the Republican student Olympiads in mathematics, laureates of the State Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and other state scholarships. In particular, in 2010, the associate professor Vaisova Mokhira became the laureate of the scholarship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan among of post-graduate students.
