HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

Department of Labor Education was founded in 1980 at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics under the name of "Mathematics and General Engineering.Since 1991, the department has been called "Fundamentals of Production". In 1992-1996, the department was headed by Candidate of Pedagogic Sciences, Associate Professor Ruziev E. I. In March 2011, the department was renamed to "Labor education" and headed by the Candidate of Pedagogic Sciences R. F Rajabov.  From September 2011 to September 2012 Candidate of Pedagogic Sciences A.N.Khudoyberganov, from September 2012 to June 2015 senior teacher Y.D.Bobojonov, from June 2015 to June 2016 Ph.D. R.F Rajabovs were in charge. Since June 2016, the head of the department is Doctor of Pedagogic Sciences, Professor E.I Ruziev. At present there are 1 doctor of science, 4 candidates of sciences, 5 senior teachers and 2 teachers in the department.

Department 5112100 – “Labour Education” ("Technology education" in the 2019-2020 academic year)  is considered as a specialized department for teaching bachelor students. In the 2018-2019 academic year, 231 undergraduate students were enrolled in Bachelor of Education. There are computer classes, carpentry, metalworking and artistic design workshops, sewing and service offices, modern equipped lecture halls. Cooperation agreements were signed with “Urgenchkormmash” JSC, “Khorezm heat source” and Urgench construction and vocational education department to conduct practical and laboratory studies of students in enterprises, institutions and organizations. For the reason that the department specialized making personnel especially for the system of education made an agreement with the educational institutions of the region, in particular, No 19 secondary school in Urgench, Urgench RCC, Urgench district industrial complex.

Methodical seminar meeting on the theme: "Improving the content and methods of teaching general technical, graphic and technology disciplines in the education system", is held once a month and methodological manuals, scientific articles are discussed.

The department conducts research works of the main doctoral students and independent researchers on the specialty 13.00.02 - Theory and methods of education and training. From the 2019-2020 academic year, the admission to the master's degree in "Theory and Methods of Education and Training (Technology Training)" has been renewed.

So far, members of the department "Engineering Graphics and Methods of Teaching" (textbook), "Geometric and projection drawing" (textbook), Exercises and Tasks from Civil Engineering (for CCC students) manual). “Architectural and Construction Drawing” (textbook), “Architectural and construction drawing assignments” (study guide), “Drawing.

The task packages are published and used in the educational system of the Republic. In the 2018-2019 academic year, a Russian-Uzbek-English Short Glossary from Engineering Graphics, Architecture and Construction, has been prepared and published by the Ministry of Education and Science.

Since the 2022-2023 academic year, specialists are being trained in the direction 5112100-technological education. Bachelors can work as teachers in secondary schools, leaders of clubs in youth creativity centers.

Head of the Department Prof.Ruziev E.I. published textbook "Methods of teaching drawing in general education and vocational schools (textbook for students of educational direction“Fine Arts and engineering graphics”). T.: BOOMANY PRINT Publishing House, 2023.- 248 P. Teachers of the Department of Dos. Khudoiberganov A. and teacher Kalandarova U. published a textbook on the discipline “Innovative pedagogical technologies in technological education". Associate Professor of the department Matyagubov H.R. the textbook "Manufacturing technology of products" was published. Dos.. X. Yakubov Khushnud Kalandarovich and Master Egamberganova Fazilat Davronbek kyzy EXPO program for an electronic textbook on the discipline "Fundamentals of mechanical engineering technology".
