On March 25, 2022, a press conference was held at Urgench State University on "Self-sufficiency at the university, work to increase admission quotas and the opening of new directions in high-demand specialties."
It was attended by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs S. Khodjaniyazov, Vice-Rector for Financial and Economic Affairs A. Atajonov and university students.
Vice-rectors S.Khodjaniyazov and A.Atajonov gave the following information at the press conference:
- Plans to increase admission quotas and open new new directions in high-demand specialties;
- In particular, taking into account the need for staff in the region for the 2022-2023 academic year, efforts to open 6 new directions in study and 10 new master's specialties;
- The work being done at the university on self-sufficiency;
- The need for the construction of new academic buildings and the work being done on it, etc.
At the end of the conference, participants received answers to all their questions.
