In cooperation with Economics Faculty of Urgench State University, Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Astrakhan State Technical University and Economics Faculty of Astrakhan State University, at the Economics Faculty of Urgench State University, an international scientific-practical conference scheduled for March 25-26, 2022 on "Priorities for further development of business tourism (MICE-tourism) in Uzbekistan" began today in the framework of the State Program " Year of Ensuring Human Interests and Mahalla Development."

It was attended by representatives of all partner organizations, as well as academic staff and students of the Economics Faculty of UrSU.

This international scientific-practical conference,that is held to ensure the implementation of the Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Oliy Majlis on December 29, 2020, the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 7, 2018 "On measures to ensure the accelerated development of domestic tourism", the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PD-6002 dated May 28, 2020 "On urgent measures to support the tourism sector to reduce the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic", targets set in the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026 is dedicated to the following issues:

- Scientific and theoretical basis for the development of business tourism;

- Problems and solutions for the development of business tourism in the regions under pandemic conditions;

- Foreign experience in the development of business tourism;

- Issues of using modern information and digital technologies in the development of business tourism;

- Management system and training of qualified personnel in the development of business tourism.

It should be noted that within the framework of the conference, the rector of UrSU Bakhrom Abdullayev and the head of the department of Udmurt State University of the Russian Federation Svetlana Vladimirovna Radigina discussed issues of further strengthening cooperation between the two universities and future plans. An agreement was signed in the near future to organize an academic exchange of professors and teachers of Urgench State University and Udmurt State University, as well as to attract graduates of the faculties of Natural Sciences and Bioengineering and Food Safety to master's degrees.
