On April 23, 2022, Alexis Sullivan, The Public Affairs Officer of the US Embassy in Tashkent, visited Urgench State University to learn about joint projects with the United States.
The delegation was welcomed at the main building of UrSU by the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation G. Urazbaev and Access Project Coordinator F. Masharipova.
At the official meeting, the Vice-Rector of UrSU introduced the university. He spoke about the involvement of English teachers with the help of the US Embassy and the activities of the Access project, which is being implemented jointly. It was noted that UrSU needs to attract new English language specialists.
After that, they got acquainted with the activities of the working group of the project "English Access Microscholarship Program" to teach English to schoolchildren at the Faculty of Foreign Philology for 2020-2022. They observed the course processes. Discussed the pedagogical methods, and the textbooks used in the lessons.
