Paula Rodrigues, a professor at the University of Porto in Portugal, one of the world's top 300 countries, has been conducting training sessions on sports metrology as well as on the rules of publishing articles in scientific journals on the basis of Scopus to the Masters' and doctoral students of the university at Physical Culture Faculty since May 16.
Today, May 24, Professor Paula Rodrigues met with the rector of Urgench State University Bahrom Abdullayev. At the meeting, Paula Rodrigues thanked him for the conditions and facilities created during her time at the university. During the classes, the activeness of the university team, the aspirations and efforts of students expressed satisfaction with the great interest of young researchers not only from Physical Culture Faculty, but also from other faculties. In turn, she expressed her desire to involve other colleagues at the University of Porto in Urgench State University, to contribute to the further development of the university's ranking.
Rector B.Abdullayev thanked Paula Rodrigues on behalf of the team for the visit and for all the meaningful and useful lessons.
During the official meeting, the sides discussed issues of further strengthening cooperation between the two universities and the establishment of short-term student exchanges.
It should be noted that Paula Rodrigues is scientific supervisior of the winner of the El-yurt umidi Foundation, the 3rd year doctoral student of the University of Porto and she has been conducting joint research since 2020. She has co-authored 3 articles in prestigious scientific journals based on Scopus and the Web of Science.
