Today, Urgench State University is hosting a symposium dedicated to the meeting of two great peoples, the works of two great poets of the Turkish and Uzbek peoples. The symposium, dedicated to Turkish poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy and Uzbek writer Abdulhamid Suleyman oglu Cholpon, is an integral part of the strong partnership between Urgench State University and Turkish universities.
The opening ceremony of the symposium is attended by distinguished Turkish guests, representatives of the Khorezm regional administration and the regional branch of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Education, the leadership of Urgench State University, professors and students of Philology Faculty. The symposium is moderated by the Dean of tPhilology Faculty D.Gayipov.
Z.Ibragimov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovations of UrSU, opened the symposium with an introductory speech. On behalf of the university staff, he thanked the guests for the visit and wished them success in their work.
Deputy Governor of Khorezm region B.Sayidov made a congratulatory speech on behalf of the Khorezm regional administration. He noted that the meeting, which was organized to promote the culture and literature of the two peoples, especially among young people, laid the foundation for further strengthening our cooperation and friendship.
At the opening ceremony of the symposium, Deputy Governor of Khorezm region B.Sayidov presented gifts to all the guests led by Mehmet Akif Ersoy Foundation Chairman Mehmet Cemal Çiftçigüzeli on the behalf of the Khorezm regional administration and a series of valuable books about Jalaladdin Manguberdi.
Z.Ubragimov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of UrSU, also presented symbolic gifts of the university.
