On September 12 of this year, Feruzbek Akobirov, coordinator of the "English Language Program" of the US Embassy, and Ann Margret Steingraeber, a senior employee of the EL Fellow and EL Specialist program at the Washington Department of Education, visited Urganch State University.
At the beginning of the visit, the guests met with the rector of the university B.Abdullayev. At the meeting, vice-rector for Academic Affairs S. Khodjaniyazov, vice-rector for Research and Innovation Z. Ibragimov, dean of the faculty of Foreign Philology Z. Jumaniyazov, senior teacher of the "Romano-Germanic philology" department F. Masharipova and Head of International Relations department E. Yoldashov participated.
During the interaction, they talked about the projects of Urganch State University in cooperation with the US Embassy, and discussed the research of many future projects. Ms. Ann Margaret Steingraeber spoke about the activities of Alberto Navarro and Viviana Marcel at Urgench State University. Rector Bahrom Abdullayev noted that he is satisfied with the close cooperation with the experts of this program and that these projects will be a productive project not only for students of Urganch State University, but also for professors and teachers.
After the meeting, Viviana Marcel met with professors and teachers of the Department of "Biology" and "Interfaculty Foreign Languages" at the Faculty of Foreign Philology, and discussed the lesson schedule and topics of the classes that Viviana Marcel will conduct during the visit. At the same time, Alberto Navarro's presentation of Philology and Language Teaching: English to the 1st year students was held.
