The Uzbekistan-Korea conference on the topic "New Trends in Condensed Matter Physics: Focus on topological insulators, low-dimensional functional materials, and quantum information" is being held in Khorezm on October 6-9 this year at Urganch State University.
The first day of the conference began with an opening ceremony at the "Matniyoz Devanbegi" madrasa in the Itchan Kala complex of Khiva.
It should be noted that in recent years, the range of international conferences and scientific-practical conferences in various fields has been expanding in our republic. In particular, this Uzbek-Korea international conference is also important as it aims to further develop the field of physics worldwide.
The conference was organized by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, the Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics, the Research Center for Modern Physics of Matter and Dielectrics, the Physical Society of Uzbekistan, Chirchiq State Pedagogical Institute, Turin Polytechnic University, Urganch State University, and Khorezm Ma'mun Academy.
Speakers from Korea, Germany, Indonesia, Central Asian countries, a total of about 10 countries, as well as professors and masters of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Urganch State University are taking part in the conference.
At the opening ceremony of this conference, which will last 4 days, Z. Ibragimov, Vice-rector for Research and Innovation of UrSU, made a speech, expressed his satisfaction to the guests for their visit and wished success to the work of the conference.
During the conference, lectures on the latest news and new trends in the physics of condensed media, quantum informatics and low-dimensional functional materials, topological insulators will be heard.
The conference will continue its work from tomorrow at Urganch State University.
