In accordance with the Presidential decree "On measures to accelerate greening in the republic, more effective organization of tree protection", the nationwide project "Green Space" aimed at increasing tree plantations in our country was introduced.
"Important 40 days" events have started in Uzbekistan from October 20, 2022 in the autumn season within the framework of the national project "Green Space".
In order to actively contribute to this project, the team of Urganch State University aims to actively continue its participation in good works such as greening, tree and shrub protection, and expansion of green spaces.
In particular, today, October 24, a seminar aimed at the effective organization of events and greening was held in the territory of the Faculty of Chemical Technologies of the university within the framework of the nationwide project "Green Space".
Khorezm Region Governor Farhod Ermanov, representatives of the Khorezm Region Government, Nazrullo Oblomuradov, Chairman of the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection, and representatives of the Committee, Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection of Khorezm Region, professors and teachers of Urganch State University and students participated.
The event was opened by the rector of UrSU, Bahrom Abdullayev, with an introductory speech. At the event, the head of the Department of Forestry and Landscape Design of Tashkent State Agrarian University, Ph.D. Mansurbek Kholmurotov gave his recommendations on planting and caring for seedlings suitable for the territory of Khorezm region.
After that, the process of planting saplings took place on the territory of the faculty, and all the participants of the event took an active part in the process of planting saplings, based on the advice and recommendations of experts on planting saplings and their care.
For information, it is planned to plant 1,200 ornamental and 600 fruit trees in October-November of this year.
