An educational seminar was held at Urganch State University in order to explain the content of the updated Constitution, which is expected to be adopted on the basis of public discussion, to increase the potential of the referendum participants, and to familiarize them with the amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The seminar was opened by the first vice-rector of UrSU S. Davletov with an introduction.
In this training-seminar with the participation of students and the youth of UrSU, who are taking part in the referendum process for the first time, lectures were given by the Director of the Institute of Democracy and Human Rights, Candidate of Legal Sciences S. Khodjayeva, Head of the Legal Department of the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Employment, Candidate of Legal Sciences Sh. Umarova, Regional Ombudsman in Khorezm Region representative O. Ollayorov, the first vice-rector of the university S. Davletov and the director of the Khorezm region branch of the "Institute of Democracy and Human Rights" I. Jumaniyozov on "Legal foundations of organizing and holding a referendum in the Republic of Uzbekistan" and "The importance of constitutional reform in the Republic of Uzbekistan".
In the end, students got answers to all their questions.
