On April 10 of this year, Hélène Yèche, dean of the Faculty of Literature and Languages of the University of Poitiers, France, and Charlotte Krauss, a professor of this faculty, visited Urganch State University.
It should be noted that since 2018, cooperation relations have been established between Urganch State University and Poitiers University, and academic mobility is carried out every year. Especially, the prospective contracts within the II Forum of France-Uzbekistan universities held in France in 2022 further strengthened the friendship and cooperation between the two universities.
Before the visit, the guests had a meeting with the university leadership. Under the leadership of UrSU rector B.Abdullayev, vice-rector for Academic Affairs S.Khodjaniyozov, vice-rector for Research and Innovation Z.Ibragimov, dean of the faculty of Foreign Philology Z.Jumaniyozov, head of the department of International Relations E.Yoldoshevlar took part in the official talks.
During the meeting, rector B. Abdullayev spoke about relations with French higher education institutions, the university team admitted that it has a special interest in the University of Poitiers and is interested in expanding cooperation. During his speech, he noted that Urganch State University has reached many beneficial agreements within the framework of the France-Uzbekistan educational forum. He noted with pleasure the long-standing cooperation with the University of Poitiers. He also gave the guests a lot of information about Urganch State University.
In turn, the guests thanked for the friendly and warm welcome and expressed their desire to expand cooperation with Urganch State University.
During the conversation, ideas were expressed on strengthening the relations between the two universities, further expanding cooperation within the framework of the Erasmus+ project programs of the European Union, establishing joint education in the master's degree in Linguistics (French language), Simultaneous Translation and Theory of Translation (English, German and French languages), conducting academic mobility.
