A number of state and public figures of our region, historians, scientists, members of the Union of Writers, professors and teachers, tutors and talented students of the Urganch State University, as well as descendants of some of our compatriots who were repressed during the time of the former Soviet Union, took part in the conference.
The conference was opened by the Rector of UrSU, Bahrom Abdullayev, with an introduction, and talked about the ongoing work. to perpetuate the memory of our ancestors who were repressed during the authoritarian regime, who fought valiantly to ensure the independence of our homeland, the freedom and liberty of our people, the peaceful and prosperous life of future generations, and to study and promote their activities and heritage.
It was moderated by director of the conference museum, Ph.D., Assoc. Y. Rakhmanova. Lectures of many guests who visited the event were listened to, and those who passed away were remembered.
At the end of the conference, poetic performances of the students of the Faculty of Philology were presented. After that, the participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the museum's rare collection.
