Today in all educational institutions ceremonial events are being held under the slogan "For a new life, for a New Uzbekistan!" at the beginning of the new academic year. This year, this event is being celebrated at Urganch State University with great enthusiasm. Therefore, the commissioning of the 7-story smart educational building with 2,000 seats, which was completed in almost a year, was a great gift for the university team.
Khorezm region governor J. Rahimov, a group of well-known academicians of our republic, university professors and teachers, students and representatives of the general public took part in the solemn opening ceremony.
Rector of the university B.Abdullayev opened the event, which started with the singing of our National Anthem, and congratulated everyone on the 32nd anniversary of our independence and the beginning of the new academic year, and wished the students success in their studies. He thanked all the guests who attended the event.
At the event, the governor of Khorezm region, J. Rahimov, delivered a congratulatory speech and spoke about the wide-scale reforms implemented in our country, especially the attention to education and youth, changes in the field of education in our region, opportunities and conditions created for the youth. He sincerely congratulated the entire university team and students with this new educational building.
Also, at the event, scientists who have been making a significant contribution to the development of our country's science, in particular, director of the Institute of Mathematics named after V.I. Romanovsky of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, academician Sh. Ayupov, vice-president of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan for chemical and biological sciences, academician B.Ibragimov and the famous mathematician, academician A.Sadullayev spoke, and they noted practical efforts to improve the activities of higher educational institutions, to create the necessary conditions for students, to introduce advanced teaching methods into the educational process, and ultimately to prepare qualified and competitive personnel.
After that, it was the turn of the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
It should be noted that this new educational building was built based on the requirements of modern architecture and urban planning. It has 51 classrooms, 12 modern laboratories for physics and biology, 8 lecture halls with 100 seats, and computer rooms. 46 billion from extra-budgetary funds for the construction of an educational building. Soum funds were allocated.
