A spiritual and educational event was organized today at Urganch State University in connection with the 1050th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker, encyclopedist Abu Rayhan Beruni.
In it, the leading researcher of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies of The Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, the director of the scientific center of Beruni studies under the public foundation "Beruni Avlodlari", prof. B. Karimov, junior researcher of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies of The Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, scholar B. Abdullayev, junior researcher of the Institute of Oriental Studies named after Beruni, scholar F. Ibragimov, and editor of the newspaper "Urganch University", teacher of the Department of Russian Language and Literature M. Kuronboyeva were guests. The event was opened by the first vice-rector of UrSU D. Ibadullayev.
Speakers at the event informed the students about the great thinker's literary heritage, his scientific, artistic, socio-philosophical views, newly discovered manuscripts.
