Today, on May 21, a meeting was organized with M.Umurzakov, deputy governor of Khorezm region for relations with public and religious organizations, on the topic "Enlightenment against ignorance" at Urgench State University. Rector of Urgench State University B.Abdullayev opened the event and acknowledged the reforms, educational work, conditions and opportunities created for students in our country, and invited youngsters to learn more.
At the meeting, the deputy governor of the region, M.Umurzakov, gave a speech on issues such as the reforms in the social, economic, and religious spheres being carried out in our country, the need for youngsters to acquire knowledge and achieve spiritual maturity, and the noble goals of Islam, such as humanity, peace and friendship. Students and youngsters were called to be aware of various foreign ideas under the guise of religion.
Also, this meeting continued with the university management and all faculty deans, and necessary recommendations were made on preventing various ideological threats in today's globalization period, calling on students and youngsters to be aware, and fighting against ideological threats.
