Today, an official meeting of the members of the delegation and the management of the Urgench State University was held under the leadership of Aydin Kerimov, the head of the delegation of the city of Shusha of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the dialogue, the long-standing friendly relations and common features of the two brotherly countries were recognized. Rector B.Abdullayev gave a close introduction to the current activities of Urgench State University and international cooperation relations. It was mentioned about close cooperation relations with Heydar Aliyev Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Uzbekistan and that this meeting was organized by the initiative of the center. He expressed his views on strengthening cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian spheres, which serve to further develop friendly relations between the two countries. In particular, he mentioned the organization of summer schools for Azerbaijani students at the university, student and professor exchanges, and invited the students of the Republic of Azerbaijan to participate in the international mathematics Olympiad held at the university in May 2025.
In turn, Mr. Aydin Kerimov welcomed the proposals of Urgench State University and expressed his desire to establish cooperation between Urgench State University and Karabakh University in Azerbaijan. The parties agreed to establish cooperation between the universities in the fields of tourism and architecture.
