A delegation of journalists and bloggers from Karakalpakstan visited Urgench State University

Today, on October 10, a delegation of Karakalpakstan journalists and bloggers led by Azamat Ajimuratov - the press secretary of the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, visited the university in order to learn the conditions created for students studying on the basis of an additional quota at Urgench State University. 

The representatives of Karakalpakstan mass media were warmly welcomed by the management of the university and a press tour was organized for them around the Urgench State University.

Today, more than three thousand students from Karakalpakstan are studying at Urgench State University in  daytime and correspondence courses. In particular, in the 2024-2025 academic year, a total of 1,147 applicants were admitted for undergraduate courses  to study on the basis of additional admission quotas, 815 of them are daytime and 332 of them are for correspondence courses. 

Media representatives from Karakalpakstan got to know Urgench State University today in order to get information about the condition of these students, to get acquainted with the conditions created for them at the university, and to communicate them to the population. In particular, they inspected educational buildings and laboratories, activities of the Registrar's office, sports complex and student residences, libraries. They also took part in the lessons and interacted with students from Karakalpakstan.
