A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Uzbekistan-Japan Youth Innovation Center and Urgench State University

On December 19 of this year, a group of representatives of the Uzbekistan-Japan Youth Innovation Center headed by director Ph.D. S. Niyazbekov visited Urgench State University. During the visit, an official meeting was held with the acting rector of the university, S.Khodjaniyazov, vice-rectors, relevant faculty deans, and department heads.

During the dialogue, information was exchanged about the opportunities, scientific potential, and conditions of the two educational institutions, and the plans expected to be effective in the future for both sides were discussed.

As a result of the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed. The memorandum is aimed at solving the most important and urgent tasks of the higher education system and content of our time, training mature and highly qualified specialists in the field of study, and constantly exchanging work experiences and information on the training of personnel in the education system.

This memorandum envisages cooperation on the following issues: to develop educational programs, manuals, and methodological recommendations in cooperation; to provide the university with the latest theoretical and practical literature created in the center; to conduct scientific research together with young scientists and professors of the university in the scientific research laboratory of the center; and to publish articles in journals included in the Scopus database, develop production based on the results of scientific research, and solve environmental problems in the field of mining.

After the meeting, the guests got acquainted with the conditions and material and technical base of Urgench State University. In particular, accompanied by the university management, they visited the laboratories, study, and lecture rooms in the 5th educational building and got acquainted with the activities of the Registrar's office.
