Today, on February 5, a preventive meeting was organized on the topic "Drug addiction—plague of the future" within the framework of the month "Prevention of the spread of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances among youngsters" at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni.
It was attended by the Department of Rapid Investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Department of Combating Illegal Trafficking in Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances, the head of the Criminal Investigation Service, Colonel A.Matlubov, the officers of the Department, Lieutenant Colonels F.Rajabov and P.Azimbekov, and the Deputy Chief of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Khorezm Region Internal Affairs Department, Major M.Serdjanov.
During the meeting, they provided detailed information about effective ways to eliminate problems such as crime, drug addiction, and immorality, which negatively affect the moral condition of youngsters, the work being done in this regard in our country, as well as narcotic substances, damage to various organs as a result of their negative effects, disruption of functional systems important for life, and the impact on the psyche and consciousness of youth.
