On February 11-13 of this year, the republican final stage of the "Universiade-2024" sports competition among students of higher educational institutions in the wrestling type was held in the city of Karshi. The team of Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni, actively participating in this competition in 7 weight categories, won 2 Gold, 2 Silver, 4 Bronze medals. This victory, achieved at the republican level, fills the team of our university, which consists of many thousands, with great pride. This result shows that our university is occupying high positions not only in education, but also in sports at the republican and world levels.

2nd place: Shikhnazarov Asadbek — student of the Faculty of Sports Activities, Pedagogy and Psychology, kurash group 23/01;
2nd place: Allaberganova Mohinur — student of the Faculty of Sports Activities, Pedagogy and Psychology, kurash group 241;
3rd place: Komilov Maqsadbek — student of the Faculty of Sports Activities, Pedagogy and Psychology, kurash group 22/01;
3rd place: Kurbandurdiyeva Gulshan — student of the Faculty of Sports Activities, Pedagogy and Psychology, kurash group 241;
3rd place: Egamberganova Dinara — student of judo group 241 of the Faculty of Sports Activities, Pedagogy and Psychology;
3rd place: Yu'ldasheva Laylo — student of judo group 23/01 of the Faculty of Sports Activities, Pedagogy and Psychology.
