“1st RISMUz School & Knowledge Transfer Workshop” launched at UrSU

Today, on February 24, the second major event of the “RISMUz” project after the seminar on best practices in Berlin, the “1st RISMUz School & Knowledge Transfer Workshop” launched at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni. 

This project is being held with the participation of students of Urgench State University, Tashkent State Transport University, and Karakalpakstan State University, as well as representatives of relevant urban planning institutes.

It is worth noting that Dr.-Ing. Wulf-Holger Arndt, Head of the Research Department of ZTG, TU Berlin "Mobility and Space," visited the university to participate in the seminars within the framework of this project.

Acting Rector of UrSU Sardor Khodjaniyazov participated online at the opening ceremony of the seminar and wished success to the seminar. Also, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Zafarbek Ibragimov and Dr.-Ing. Wulf-Holger Arndt made speeches and spoke in detail about the relevance of the project today. 

The seminar included presentations by experts on mobility infrastructure, public transport, parking policy, active modes, road safety, and neighborhood planning.

For information, this project is scheduled for February 24 - March 1, and a seminar is also planned to be held in the "Nurli Hayot" neighborhood of Urgench, which is the pilot area of ​​the project.
