On February 28, the next meeting of the University Council was held at the Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni. The Council was chaired by the acting rector of the university, S.Khodjaniyazov, and with the participation of the members of the Council.
First, the Chairman of the Council, in accordance with tradition, recognized the achievements of the university community. In particular, the professors and teachers who have received the DSc (Doctor of Science) and PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) degrees of the university, as well as the academic title of Associate Professor of the SAC, were awarded their diplomas, and continued success was wished to the teachers in their further scientific activities.
Also, an award was presented to Sh. Nurullayeva, associate professor of the Department of History, who participated in the "Woman of the Year" competition held in Istanbul, Turkey, and won the nomination "The Most Active Woman of the Year in Science".
At the 7th meeting of the Council of Urgench State University, 17 students were awarded certificates of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State Scholarships in the 2024/2025 academic year. In addition, this year, 8 students were awarded the “Rector's Scholarship”, 2 students of the Secondary Specialized and Professional Educational Institution under the university were awarded the “Rector's Scholarship” and 1 student was awarded the Mukhtor Saidov Scholarship.
The issues on the agenda were considered at the 7th meeting of the Council of Urgench State University. Also, the information of the Head of the Department of Management of the Anti-Corruption “Compliance-Control” System for the Early Detection of Situations That May Lead to a Conflict of Interest at Urgench State University and the Elimination of Their Measures was heard.
Various issues and elections were also on the Council's agenda.
