Today, on the occasion of “March 8 - International Women's Day”, a festive event was organized at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni. At the beginning of the event, the acting rector of UrSU, prof. S.Khodjaniyazov sincerely congratulated all women working at the university on the spring holiday.
During the festive event, female teachers and employees working at the university were awarded certificates of honor and souvenirs for their work for the development of the university and the knowledge they impart to youngsters.
The festive event on the theme “Woman - a symbol of beauty, elegance, loyalty and happiness” continued with a lively concert program.
The concert program featured the lively songs of the People's Artists of Uzbekistan and Karakalpakstan, brothers Gafurjon and Gulomjon Eshchanov, and the Khorezm maqom ensemble.
During the festive event, our women greeted the performances of famous artists with great excitement. In particular, the skillful recitations of Gafurjon and Gulomjon Eshchanov and the unique performances of the members of the Khorezm maqom ensemble gave great pleasure to the audience. Their songs and melodies deeply reflected the ancient traditions and national values of the people, further enhancing the meaning of the holiday.
