To develop academic and cultural relations with Ege University

As we previously reported, a number of cooperation agreements were signed with Urganch State University and Turkey's Ege University as part of the participation of the rector of UrSU in the international education forum held in Izmir, Republic of Turkey. It should be noted that Ege University is the fourth in Turkey, the first and one of the most prestigious universities in the region, where more than 60,000 students study.

Today, on September 14, 2022, in order to further strengthen this cooperation and establish mutual cooperation between the faculties of the two prestigious universities, Ege University's Institute of Turkic World Studies, associate professor of "Turkish language and dialects", Dr. İbrahim Şahin visited Urganch State University and met with rector Bahrom Abdullayev. Dean of the Faculty of Philology D. Gayipov, head of the "History" department O. Abdullayevlar took part in the meeting.

During the conversation, the development of academic and cultural relations between the two educational institutions, conducting educational and research activities in areas and disciplines, stimulating the exchange of professors, researchers and students, professors and teachers issues such as launching joint research conducted by researchers and joint publication of research results in the Scopus database, attracting specialists in folklore, literature of Turkic peoples, and history were discussed and agreed upon.

Within the framework of Dr. İbrahim Şahin's visit to the university, cooperation agreements were signed with the faculties of Philology and History.
