Today, it is known that the negative evils caused by ignorance in the world are worrying everyone. In order to prevent this, educating young people to become educated and perfect people is an urgent task facing our society and our intellectuals.
The meeting held on October 26 of this year at Urganch State University on the topic "Enlightenment against ignorance" was focused on this goal.
The event was held under the chairmanship of S. Khodjaniyozov, vice-rector for academic affairs of UrSU, and M. Umurzakov, deputy governor of Khorezm region for relations with public and religious organizations, representative of Khorezm region of the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan, chief imam of the region Kh. G. Atajonov, Head of Khorezm Regional Center of the Republican Spirituality and Enlightenment Center, R. Sharipov, Advisor to the Rector of UrSU, and students took part.
At the meeting, first of all, special attention was paid to getting acquainted with students and young people with advanced ideas and initiatives and studying their problems.
In addition, ideological threats spreading through the Internet and social networks and issues of their prevention, issues of preventing and combating various ideological threats in today's globalization era were discussed in detail, real examples were given.
Industry experts expressed their opinions about preventing such negative threats as religious extremist ideas through the Internet, propagators of "mass culture" who are trying to instill their ideas in the minds of our youth and fighting against them with enlightenment.
Those who spoke at the event emphasized that no force can defeat a people with high morale, strong faith, and national values, those young people should read a lot of books, that there is never a shortage of knowledgeable people, and urged students should not be lazy and indifferent to the processes happening around us.
During the event, students received answers to all their questions.
