Today, May 18 - on the occasion of "International Day of Museums", the rector of Urgench State University Bakhrom Abdullayev visited the "Memorial of Repression Victims" museum in the university building and participated in the conference and exhibitions organized there.
First of all, the exhibits in the museum, the conditions and opportunities created there, as well as the rich material and technical base of the museum were examined. It should be said that the fact that this museum is always crowded with young people is a sign of their interest in our rich history and that they are not indifferent.
The director of the museum, Assoc.Y.Rakhmonova, gave valuable information to the participants of the conference about our ancestors who were persecuted during the Soviet era and their history.
Rector B.Abdullayev reviewed the activities of the museum and gave his suggestions for its further development.
He got acquainted with the work of the exhibition entitled "Heritage of the past - the foundation of our future". He had a conversation with schoolchildren and university students who are active in the competition.
He observed the practice processes of the students of the translation group 2201, who are currently practicing in this museum under the guidance of the senior teacher of the Faculty of Foreign Philology, M. Atajonova, and gave the necessary recommendations to the students.
