Currently, the university delegation headed by the acting rector of Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni, S.Khodjaniyazov, is on a business trip to Malaysia to participate in the Malaysia-Uzbekistan Higher Education Forum and Exhibition.
As part of the forum, they visited Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) on February 3. In order to discuss the issues of future cooperation between the universities, they met with the Dean of the Faculty of Leadership and Management, Professor Mohd Rushdan Mohd Jailani, and professors. At the meeting, both universities introduced their current activities, educational directions, and international cooperation relations.
After that, proposals for cooperation, such as the implementation of mobility programs for professors and teachers, joint participation in UNESCO projects, organization of winter and summer schools for students at the university, and joint participation in scientific conferences, were considered.
The first Uzbekistan-Malaysia educational forum on the topic "Opportunities and initiatives in the field of higher education in achieving the goals of sustainable development" has just been launched in the Malaysian state of Perak.
At the moment, rectors of higher education institutions of the two countries are participating in promotional activities organized within the framework of the forum.
