The memory of the brilliant poets of the old oasis, who actively participated in the current literary process, left behind a noble name and a beautiful creative heritage, and made a significant contribution to the development of Uzbek literature, will always live forever in the hearts of young people!
Today, February 22, at the Palace of Culture of Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni, a literary and artistic memorial evening dedicated to the 77th anniversary of the birth of the honored cultural worker of Uzbekistan, translator, researcher, poet Matnazar Abdulhakim was held at the initiative of the Faculty of Philology and Arts.
The artistic evening was attended by a group of members of the Khorezm regional branch of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan, famous poets and writers, professors and teachers of the Faculty of Philology and Arts, as well as students and youth. The speakers at the event spoke about the life and work of the great poet, his literary heritage, as well as his human qualities, extremely sensitive thinking, truthful speech, honest and tolerant person.
The memorial evening was rich in poems and melodies based on the work of Matnazar Abdulhakim, bright memories, lively dances, and meaningful stage performances. This event was an expression of respect and admiration for the poet's work, and his immortal works were once again remembered.
At the end of the event, the Dean of the Faculty of Philology and Arts, Professor D.Gayipov, spoke and reflected on the fact that Matnazar Abdulhakim was a great person and a humble creator, and that his research as a devotee of science will be continued by today's generation and people of the creative world.
At the end of the event, the winners of the competitions dedicated to the birthdays of Matnazar Abdulhakim, Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, and Amon Matjon were awarded diplomas and souvenirs.
