Today, in the Palace of Culture of Urganch State University, in cooperation with military unit No. 53008, a holiday event called "Holy Motherland, an honorable duty to protect it" was held before January 14 - "Day of Defenders of the Motherland". Professors and teachers of the university, students, officers and servicemen of the military unit took part in the event.
The event began with the first congratulatory speech of S. Davletov, the first vice-rector of UrSU. Dwelling on the courage of our boys who joined the defense of the homeland, the reforms being implemented for the peace and tranquility of our country, he expressed special gratitude to the team of the military unit, which has been constantly cooperating in military-patriotic events, and presented the letter of thanks of the rector of the university and the historical book "Sultan Jalaluddin Khorezmshah in Pakistan" dedicated to the history of the great general Jalaluddin Manguberdi.
After that, congratulatory words were heard by Major H. Sobirov, Captain O. Orazaliyev, M. Mirzayeva, who is responsible for working with the families of the military unit, S. Masharipova, Honorary Professor of UrSU.
During the festive event, colorful performances, various entertainment games, stage performances were presented, and festive mood was shared with everyone. In particular, M.Avezova, a practicing psychologist of UrSU, conducted psychological training. Talented students of the Faculty of Philology performed "Red Apple" on stage, faculty of Foreign Philology and Pedagogy showed enthusiasm with their poetic and musical performances, "Zakovat" intellectual competitions between artists, soldiers and students showed enthusiasm, the Faculty of Physical Culture and its KVN team showed great enthusiasm. The first performances of the members of the "Boys Club" under the primary organization of the Youth Union University were also shown. At each performance, songs were sung about the Motherland, bravery and courage.
The festive event was connected to sports competitions. In the sports halls of the Faculty of Physical Culture, a competition was held between military personnel and students in 4 sports, such as Chess, Checkers, Table Tennis, and Tug of War, and the winners were duly awarded diplomas and books.
In the end, the chairman of the Women's Advisory Council of UrSU, Sh.Nurullayeva, and the chairman of the Tutors' Council, R.Matchanov, thanked the team of the military unit for their activity and cooperation.
