On January 27, 2023, A delegation of representatives of the partner University of Poitiers in France: French language teacher prof. Corinne Delbart, Deputy Dean for International Cooperation of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature, English teacher prof. Isabelle Millon-Zumstein, employee of the International Cooperation Department, prof. Josselin Madec and prof. Patrice Naudins visited Urganch State University.
At the beginning of the visit, a meeting was held with UrSU rector B.Abdullayev and vice-rectors. Rector B.Abdullayev acknowledged that in recent years significant educational relations between France and Uzbekistan have been observed, that the France-Uzbekistan educational forum was a new stage of cooperation, and that within the framework of the forum, Urganch State University has reached many beneficial agreements. He noted with pleasure the long-standing cooperation with the University of Poitiers.
In turn, our guests expressed their warm thoughts about our country, especially the Khorezm region, and noted that they are always ready to expand cooperation and work together with Urganch State University. As part of the mobility of students and professors between the University of Poitiers and Urganch State University, 4 students in economics and French were trained at the University of Poitiers last year, and they expressed their desire to expand such exchanges this year as well.
After that, the members of the delegation met with the faculty deans of Urganch State University. At the meeting, it was agreed not only to exchange students and improve the qualifications of professors and teachers, but also to establish scientific cooperation, joint publication of articles in prestigious journals, and joint educational programs.
The members of the delegation are expected to be at our university on January 27-30, to hold meetings with students and professors and conduct master classes, as well as classes for students of relevant fields.
