Today, on May 5, a traditional memorial tournament in mathematics for students of secondary schools in our region is being held at Urganch State University.
The memorial tournament is dedicated to the memory of Ismail Abdullayev, a mathematician, candidate of physics-mathematical sciences, and associate professor, who worked effectively at Khorezm State Pedagogical Institute (now Urganch State University) in 1966-1995.
The opening ceremony was attended by well-known mathematicians of our Republic and abroad, honorary teachers, students of the scientist, professors and teachers of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Urganch State University, students and schoolchildren who want to participate in the tournament.
The event was opened by Z. Ibragimov, vice-rector for Research and Innovation at UrSU.
Also, academician of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan A. Sadullayev, associate professor of the "Further Mathematics" department of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of the Novosibirsk State University of the Russian Federation Danilov Oleg Aleksandrovich and professor of the "Mathematical Engineering" department of UrSU K. Navruzov spoke and remembered the teacher. They recognized his followers who have their place in society by continuing the activity of the scientist, his life, scientific and creative research, and his contribution to the field of mathematics. We can say that this caused a greater interest in mathematics among schoolchildren who participated in the tournament.
After that, participants of the Olympiad were explained the rules and regulations of the tournament, wishing all the participants good luck, the procedures were started at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics.
