May 9 national holiday - "Day of Remembrance and Honor" in our country, to pay respect to every participant of the Second World War, veterans of labor behind the front, to further strengthen the atmosphere of kindness, solidarity, humanity, tolerance and generosity in our country, it has become a tradition to raise the young generation in the spirit of loyalty to our national traditions and respect for universal values, and to celebrate this holy day at a high level.
An event was also held at Urganch State University today. It was attended by the management of the university, honorary teachers, professors, tutors, and students who have been working at our university for many years.
The event was opened by the Rector of UrSU B.Abdullayev with an introductory speech. The speakers at the event talked about the fortitude of our ancestors, remembering the past, valuing the elderly, and appreciating our peace. Those who worked at our university were commemorated through videos. Artistic performances of students of Philology and Pedagogy faculties were presented.
Commemorative gifts of the Trade Union Committee were presented to the honored teachers.
