Today, the "Melon Carnival" festival is taking place in the territory of the "Ichan Qala" state museum-reserve in the city of Khiva. The purpose of this event, which is being held in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Khorezm Regional Government, is to demonstrate the agro-tourism potential of Khorezm, to popularize the ancient experience of the oasis, sweet-sugar melons and watermelons, and unique types and varieties of horticultural products.
In this melon selection, Urgench State University is actively participating with different exhibits 93 varieties of 30 names were selected by Urganch State University in the dedicated pavilion of its own experimental field, as well as by the professors and teachers of the Faculty of Chemical Technologies.
Foreigners and guests from different regions of our republic who visited the carnival visited the pavilion of the Urganch State University and expressed great interest in products made from melons and various citrus crops.
