Based on the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PD-5032, the scientific educational center "Semiconductor solar elements and laser physics" was established at Urganch State University. In order to expand the scope of scientific research in the center, relevant scientific and research equipment was brought and new ones are being purchased. Professors and doctoral students of the Department of Physics are conducting scientific research in the center.

Two pilot projects are being implemented to implement the obtained results. At the end of the projects, recommendations are given for the implementation of scientific research developments.

Also, by starting a solar panel assembly line, the center will assemble solar panels suitable for our climate. The panels are the main part of the solar photovoltaic plant. If the controller, battery and inverter devices are localized, the cost of solar photovoltaic power plants will be reduced due to localization.

1. Uzbekistan-India joint project No. UZB-Ind-2021-88 "On the topic of studying nanostructured hydrophobic and superhydrophobic materials used in solar cells. (Project leader K.R. Yakubov);

2. The pilot project on the topic "Creation of effective composition transparent coatings for solar cells" approved by Annex 7 of the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PD-307 dated July 6, 2022 (Project leader K.R. Yakubov);

3. The pilot project "Production of computer-controlled equipment for comprehensive study of the influence of various external factors on solar panels" approved by Annex 7 of the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PD-307 dated July 6, 2022 (Project leader K.R. Yakubov ).

Currently, planning work is being done with Chinese partners for project preparation and scientific research.
