OFFICIAL CLARIFICATION

On September 14 of this year, a post with the title "Urganch State University: the student who owes from the 2nd term is not admitted to study" was circulated on social networks. The message contains the appeal of a citizen who wants to transfer his studies from Tashkent University of Applied Sciences to Urganch State University.

Regarding the situation mentioned in the message, Urganch State University states the following:

According to the letter of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation No. 2/10-2299 dated September 4, 2023, "For the 2023/2024 academic year, determining the course and other conditions of students who are allowed to transfer (restore) their studies, including the calculation of the difference in subjects, is carried out by the rector of the higher education institution, taking into account the students' GPA increase" is indicated.

Mukhammadjonova Khairiniso Azamat, who was recommended to transfer her studies to Urganch State University from the non-state higher education institution of Tashkent University of Applied Sciences, fully acquired the subjects of the 1st term but missed one of the subjects that she should have acquired in the 2nd term (i.e. no grades). As a result, in accordance with the Ministry's instruction and the Regulation approved by the Cabinet of Ministers' decision No. 824 of December 31, 2020, the student's GPA score was 2.5. This is less than the GPA pass score of 2.7 accepted at the meeting of Urganch State University on November 3, 2022.

Therefore, the student is informed to continue his studies from the 2nd term of the 1st year or to continue his studies in the 2nd year, to completely write down the grades obtained in the 2nd term from the previous university in the academic reference (transcript).

Officials of Urganch State University contacted the student while studying this appeal and explained it again. It was reported that the student made an incorrect assessment of the situation.
