On February 19, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Sarvarkhon Buzrukhonov, as part of a working visit to the Khorezm region, got acquainted with the work being carried out at Urgench State University.
Accompanied by the rector of the university B. Abdullayev, he visited the Khorezm Innovation Technopark, located on the territory of the chemical technology faculty of the university. By processing milk, the technology park produces 8 types of products, 2 types of bakery products and 7 types of confectionery products. There are also sewing workshops.
He also got acquainted with the progress of construction and renovation of the student dormitory on the territory of the present faculty, and instructed to complete the construction on time. The student dormitory with all conditions has 7 floors and is designed for 600 places.
S. Buzrukhonov also visited student dormitory No. 7 of the university. He paid special attention to the issue of heating residential premises. At the same time, he talked with students in the dormitory and was interested in their problems. He listened to the opinions of students regarding the educational process, as well as the opportunities created for young people.
At the same time, the Deputy Minister got acquainted with the progress of construction of the new library, which is being built in the main area of the university. It is planned to commission a library with 5 floors and 1000 seats in September of this year.
